Forest Lodge Academy is a happy, lively and caring place where each child’s uniqueness is cherished and where they are encouraged to learn in a safe, positive environment.
At Forest Lodge we will ensure all children attending receive an education through exciting, enriched, creative experiences ensuring children are fully prepared for life in the 21st Century, where all are inspired to be aspirational – through collaborative, innovative, creative experiences in an environment which enthuses and challenges all to be the best that they can possibly be.
All pupils are on school site for 32.5 hrs a week – 6hrs 30 mins a day in Years 1-6. Reception – 6hrs 20 mins a day 31 hrs 40mins
We moved into a brand new school building (September 2015) which was built as part of the Priority Schools Building Project. This was an extremely exciting time for all those involved with the school and community. Now the school has been established we have added capacity and are now a large 3 form entry primary school.
The school is on a large site that provides plenty of space both inside and outside the building. We have a library, a kitchen for curriculum use as well as one for school meals and a practical learning room for Art and Design Technology lessons.
Our large hall and small halls are suitable for many activities having adaptable staging, and PE equipment. Our three playgrounds, football and cricket pitch give plenty of space for physical activity where children can play and exercise. We also have a school peace garden where children can reflect, read as well as plant and grow fruit and vegetables which will be used as part of the schools food curriculum.
Forest Lodge Academy will aid all to have an exciting future, socially, emotionally and academically. We look forward to working in partnership with you.

At Forest Lodge Academy nursery, children enjoy a variety of activities which are specially designed to help them build their confidence, social and learning skills in preparation for Reception.
All parents of children aged 3-4 years can access 15 or 30 hours of free childcare per week.
If your child will be ready to start school in August 2026, you will need to register with Leicester City Council to apply for a place with us at Forest Lodge Academy.
To help you ensure that the school you choose is right for your child, we welcome visits from parents, carers, families and future pupils to have a tour of the school, meet some of the teaching team and learn more about our curriculum, values and activities.

Our Breakfast Club provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child can make friends and enjoy activities before the school day.
🎸🤘 We’ve had a rock-tastic day today across school celebrating Maths Rocks Day! 🤘🎸
The outfits and effort were incredible – from Michael Jackson-inspired looks to brilliant homemade t-shirts, it was fantastic to see everyone joining in and celebrating maths in style.
Our TT Rockstars battle was a huge success, with all finalists doing amazingly well. A special shoutout to our overall champion, Karam from 4AW, who answered almost 80 times table questions in just one minute! 🌟👏
It’s been such a lovely day seeing the whole school buzzing with excitement, energy and a love of learning. We think this might need to become an annual event…

Year 3 Visit to Twycross Zoo
Yesterday Year 3 took part in an enrichment trip to Twycross Zoo. We had an amazing day visiting all the different animals. We also took part in a workshop about animals learning about their natural habitats and the important conservation work Twycross Zoo carries out.

A reminder that tomorrow is our Maths Rocks Day! Pupils are invited to come dressed as rockstars to help us celebrate maths in style. Think denim, band T-shirts, headbands, leather jackets, sequins and plenty of rock ‘n’ roll energy. We can’t wait for a fun day of maths-themed activities and celebrations!
